Quality & Qualifications

Qualified people. Controlled process.

Inspection is only as reliable as the people performing it and the system behind them. Here is how TCI keeps both under control.

Our Quality Approach

Four foundations.

01

Inspection personnel qualifications

NDT personnel are qualified by method and level based on documented training, experience, and examinations, and maintain current vision examinations. Certification is method-specific: an inspector performs only the methods and tasks they are certified for.

02

NDT Level III support

Our Level III personnel develop and approve procedures and techniques, interpret codes and specifications, and administer qualification examinations and certification records.

03

Written practices & procedures

Personnel qualification is governed by a written practice. Examinations are performed to approved procedures — the customer's, or TCI's where accepted — that define technique, equipment, calibration, and acceptance criteria.

04

Quality management

Inspection results are reviewed, recorded, and controlled. Nonconforming conditions are reported promptly so customers can make disposition decisions without delay.

Documentation

Records that stand up to review.

Inspection reports identify what was examined, how, by whom, and with what result — the information customers need for their quality records and audits.

  • Item identification and location
  • Procedure, revision, and technique
  • Equipment and calibration data where applicable
  • Results and acceptance status
  • Certified inspector identification

Safety

Safe work in active facilities.

Our people work inside shipyards and industrial plants alongside other trades. Safe work is part of doing the job right.

  • Compliance with customer site safety programs and orientations
  • Hazard awareness for work at height, confined spaces, and hot work areas
  • Controlled handling of inspection materials
